My name is Lauren, I am 31 years old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My full time job is as a biomedical engineer designing medical devices. The engineer type A spreadsheet loving stereotypes does apply here (not sorry) but I also have creative side that I would like to explore more.
I enjoy playing guitar, building things, biking and making wine. My husband and I love our time in the morning drinking coffee on our back porch. Our sweet and trouble-making border collie June Bug, is usually right at our feet. While I have worked happily for over 8 years, I can’t help but feel as though I need a change or at least explore my options.
It seems a lot of people get stuck in cycles where they are just repeating the same loop over and over. Going into my 9th year as an engineer, I feel very much stuck in a loop of sorts. I ask, Is there something I can do to break this loop? Is there something else out there that can help me and my family experience a higher level of freedom and have fun along the way? Maybe there are others who share this sentiment and could learn a thing or two from my trials and tribulations. Welcome to Better Benjamin! (to be confused with better be jammin’)
